1. How many items of clothing will I need? 

Blankets:

• 5X4: 15-20 child or 10-20 adult clothing
• 6x4: 25-30 child or 20-30 adult clothing
• 7X5: 37-42 child or 35-42 adult clothing
• 8x7: 51-56 child or 41-56 adult clothing

Cushions: 

• 5-9 children and adult clothing 

The number required will vary depending on size, pattern and design of your materials. Some items will be able to be used more than once using the same patterns or using the back of clothing. The more items you send, the better in creating your unique blanket!

2. What clothes will work best for my keepsakes? 

Items of clothing with the biggest surface areas work better in creating the unique square patchworks in our cushions and blankets. Based on this clothing such as T-Shirts, dresses, Pajamas and Rompers work better than trousers and shorts but they can still be used. If for any reason an item of clothing will not work then it will be returned, uncut with your completed keepsake. 

I aim for the main logo/picture of the clothing to be the centre for the square, however in smaller clothing this may not always be possible. In these cases, I will always aim for them to be as centered as possible. 

 

3. Can my keepsake be made using something other than clothing? 

Yes! Some examples of material I have previously used include baby muslins, table clothes, pillow cases and tea towels! If you have a special piece of fabric but are not sure if it can be used then please do get in contact.
